TEHRAN -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called for a new movement in the seminaries.

Addressing members of the High Council of Qom Seminary late on Tuesday, the Leader also emphasized the necessity of drawing up an outlook plan for the seminaries.
Ayatollah Khamenei started a nine-day visit to Qom on October 26 and was heartily welcomed upon his arrival.
In a meeting with a number of officials in Qom early on Wednesday, the Leader also said undermining the ideals of Islam and Revolution has been part of the enemies’ propaganda campaign over the past 30 years.
The enemies have always devised plans against Qom which serves as the symbol of Islam’s dignity, he stated.
However, the people in Qom gave a “crushing response” to the plots hatched by the enemies through their “vigorous” support for the Islamic system during the recent days, the Leader noted.
